Singer Ganavya Doraiswamy draws from ancient Indian spirituals and jazz standards from the West, all sung with "aching emotional intensity" (Jazz Times). She celebrates the release of her anticipated debut album, Aikyam: Onnu ("Oneness") in the concert presented by Brooklyn Raga Massive. Ganavya, whose voice has been described as "haunting" by All About Jazz and "enchanting" by NPR, sings in both Tamil and English-and in the universal language of pure emotion.
